Yeah yeah we get it with the Yank jokes. Honestly, you guys have been a big help and thats all I need. i got the box put back together and it all seems fine, however out of nowhere, now when I put the key in and put in in the on or start position, it makes a very loud shrill whine from somewhere in the control box. ?????? any ideas? Never heard it before, but now i cant get it to quit.

ignition alram maybe? should i just pull the ground wire that goes to it and not worry about it?

That's normally the temp alarm, should be connected to a tan or tan/blue wire from the harness, depending on model. Grounding it will make it beep until the battery goes out The purple should be connected to the keyswitch giving the horn +12V

Well the boat still needs some major TLC before she hits the water again, but the help i got here definitely puts me a lot closer!
