Ask Chris Moody, he was driving it

I wasn't looking at the speedo, I was a tad busy at the time keeping us the right way up The Whispermax did go very well, we were trimmed out and pushing every last knot out of her.

If top end is yer thing, then prop for it, but you'll sacrifice all the good low down stuff that you'll need for decent heavy weather handling.

I doubt very much if you'll ever see 55knts out of a 6.5/200HO combo, unless you get into fancy race props, which would kill any hole shot, grip or acceleration. Every knot over 50 will be very hard gained.

The Vipermax hull isn't built for speed, there are plenty of lighter, pointier things out there if that's your bag.
No you will find your the knob Looey,u av neva bin on my boat it a 6.5 its 7 and yes with 200 ho 50 knts on my own probably third of tank,so prpt right it should and will go above 50 of that i am sure, and if your that concerned come up to wales and i will show u what it duz exactly

nice vid Alex, I think I spotted us towards the end, that was a long day out for me, I wasn't sure I'd even make it out of the Straits that day, never mind getting round the island, I was about half way through my 6 months course of chemo then
