Propping a Vipermax 6.5?

I'm still ordering parts for my shiny new Osprey Vipermax 6.5 which will soon be having a DF200 bolted on the back.

Having spoken with Osprey and my engine dealer, no one is quite sure what pitch prop it will need. So does anyone have any thoughts on what pitch to plump for, for first try? I know it swings a 16" diameter, but have no idea what pitch to try first.

Try this...

Hi,

I had a Vipermax 6.25 with a DF175, tried a 16x21 and that was too small, thing I switched to a 15x23 and it was ok. With a DF200 thought I'd easily go for a 16x22 or even 23. Nice engine, nice boat, go for it!

Thanks. I'll go for a 23 and let you know in due course.
