I think codders is referring to the prop guys, not the engine as already pointed out by Mr G and Ben C.

http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayIS...item=-1&de=off

Im sure you have checked already but the prop he bought is here and it says he collected it in person. So im sure if you had nothing better to do you could email the seller and find out if codders is male or female!

...Cool ... you can "check up" on what people have been buying if'n you know their E-bay ID... fantastic fun for "beaky" people.... Got the low down on the prop..... and the glue gun for hair extensions.…. now there’s an item I’ll take of yer hands, Codders…

They reckon it's off a torpedo - bet it cost the MOD a fortune - they could have used a fan off a rover V8 instead!!!

Interesting post & I have to agree with Alan about the suck it & see approach.

Scooby had a 19" prop on the Honda BF225, which was fine. We have tried a 24" on the Etec & she performed well but was over reving. Currently she has a 26" which maxed out yesterday at 46 knts in Poole Harbour with a little more to come. However, we still experience some ventilation at low speeds in confused seas - more experimenting to be done I feel.

Just goes to show how different engines (perhaps torque characteristics of 4 compared to 2 stroke?) behave on the same hull.

Cheers

Ian

Max Speed

We went for a quick whizz today. We hit 40 knts a couple of times.

Just wondering what you think our likely maximum speed might be?

Edit: sorry, I didn't mean to post this here!
