prop (again)

Hello everyone

I´d like advise on a prop for a yamaha 90 2s on a 5m rib.

The curent (yamaha) 17´´ aluminum one goes up to 5.500-5600 with three people, three bags and 150 litters of fuel.

With 5 people 150 litters of fuel and about 120kg of bags went up to 5.300.

I like the numbers and think I´ll stay in 17´´ (better handling when it´s rough) but I damaged it and though I had it repaired I lost 2-3 knots in the whole range. The rpm stayed the same.

So it´s time to replace........and I´m confused.

Are solas alcup 3 better or worst than genuine?

Shoul I go for an SS one? Should it be cupped?

Any experience from the same engine

Thank you all in advance

Stick with your 17" Yammy one. If you travel light ie: by ones self then you could use a 19" Yammy one.

Good morning. I replaced the damaged prop with a new 17´´ (like the one it had), and the rpm droped at 5.200-5.300 from 5.600 it was..........I quess it was seriously damged....!!!

May i ask another thing according to mounting height?

How high should the engine be considering that that the deadrise is very deep (26 degr)?

Should the cavitation plate be aligned at the bottom or higher?

Start level with the bottom and work your way up to suit your package. You can come further up if you use SS but there will come a point where you lose grip round corners.
