petrol feed

Hi all, can anyone tell me, what size internal pipe size should be to fuel a 115 hp 4 stroke, as the connectors look awfully small on the fuel filter the tube itselfe looks ok but fitting inside pipe is a lot smaller, thanks for reading this. regards...

Is the fuel filter under the hood of the motor or an aftermarket unit fitted elsewhere on the boat?
Any pics?

I'd guess 3/8" at a minimum.

For what it's worth I had 1/4" on my old Searider / 25hp - I used the same tanks & hoses on nthe Humber with a 55 - It wouldn't handle WOT for more than about a minute before starvation.

The simple test is open up the throttle & see if it coughs after a minute or two!

My 90 4-stroke had 8mm fuel hose, but obviously the connections are smaller where they slide into the tubing.

The motor's likely to have 5/16" or 3/8" ID fuel hose, so you may need to change the fittings on the filter housing (cheap enough) to suit the hose. The hose should be a tight fit on the barb fitting.
