I have got the the Sternpower 100 seriesmanual the Dover series operators manual and the Parts ID manuel. These have various circuit diagrams in them. I ordered got them from Mermaid at about £10 each. I am only in Truro if you did want photocopies of parts of them I could probably copy them and pass them on. I am considering re-wiring my 22 as some of the wiring looks very DIY and shoddy.

remember to check if your boat is a victoria marine boat or a halmatic, the wiring is different on these variations

I think this is it Neville?

http://www.kingsdiesel.no/stern.htm

The link's not quite right but still relevant, the pdf is here-

http://kingsdiesel.no/teknisk/dokumenter/15.pdf

Also in their technical section is some stuff of Ford 2700 and 2720 engines, Dorset and Dover blocks respectively, but I haven't time to download it right now - not sure what it is.

Here's a link to Mermaid Northeast (USA) site, with a servicing schedule. Says it's for Lehman, but basically the same thing. On second thoughts I'll probably get shot for saying that on a P22 thread!

http://www.northeastpower.com/maint1.htm

My question is, are you all doing the 50hr oil change for the injector pump! This caught me totally by surprise, have talked to the engineers on here and they've never come across this either, how essential is it? It's no hassle to do it, but I haven't been doing it as I didn't know about it, and I guess the last owner probably didn't either! I know a couple of people who have the dover engine in tractors and they didn't know about it either!

No it seems to be separate! Glad it's not just me. However since no-one seems to know about it maybe (fingers crossed!) it isn't too serious! Will be doing mine from now on, unless anyone knows better. Did Mermaid perhaps modify the pumps, since these oil changes are referred to in generic Ford 27xx servicing info? Anyone know?
Incidentally in the Norwegian document on the Kingsdiesel site there is a diagram identifying (I think - don't speak Norwegian!) the drain, fill and level holes on the pump.

Dunc,
I've got the same manuals you have, I'm after a wiring diagram for the boat, including the fire and engine alarm systems. Is that your 22 in the berth next to DM Marine's Avon at the Yacht Haven at Falmouth?

Neville, how can I tell if mine is a Halmatic or a Victoria, are there any easy ways of telling?

Roohairy, on my pump there is an oil feed pipe and I assumed that the pump is pressure fed with oil from the main oil system and it returns to the sump from the front of the pump and into the timing case.

Andy -

Looks like Mermaid have modified the system from standard then. Haven't even run my mermaid yet but have another engine with the same block which definitely doesn't have this mod.
Is this the pipe that comes out of the front end of the flat plate below the injector pipe unions? On the attached pic I have a threaded pipe in place of the circled bolt, is this part of the oil feed arrangement?

Halmatic or Victoria Marine?

Only identifying features which i have found are the logos on the disc in the centre of the steering wheel.

However, if the original wheel or steering system were to be missing, the only other way of telling would be to call Halmatic with the hull no. and ask them.

I believe that Victoria Marine are no longer in business so you wont be able to consult them!

Cheers
