Give Electrex a call.

Thanks for recommending Electrex I have now fitted there universal one and all appears good!
Big saving on OEM part!

FWIW jumping back to the engine for a post, my Clamshell toasted a battery in a season as I didn't realise it was a "rectifier only" until I got my plotter & my jaw broke the console whenI asked it to display batt voltage! (17V @1500rpm! ) It also instantly explained why I was eating through nav lights bulbs.......

I got a combined rect / reg off a gubbed Suz O/B and strapped it to the side of my air box (to keep it cool - beware the regulators generate heat). Yes, I had to cut & crimp new connectors on, but it works a treat, & provides a nice constant 14.4V when the engine is on. Also not chaged a nav. bulb since!

Yep I am glad I have sorted mine before wiring up my nice new radio to the boat and pumping 17 volts into that!
I wish I did a bit more research before I went on eBay and bought the same Rectifier again not knowing it was only just that!
So I have 2 rectifiers now if any one wants to buy them lol...
Re the Heat I will check mine after a run up but its location should be good plenty of air not touching any pipes or cables and a good heat sink,
It looks a nice well made unit came in inc postage and vat for about £70
So that's another job ticked off until the season starts for me!
