Outboard servicing

Can anybody recomend a good place to get a yamaha outboard serviced?

Any experience / advice welcome. I want to get mine serviced to ensure the carbs, oil injection etc are all set up correctly and it's about time the motor had a bit of a birthday!
I am in Eastleigh, so fareham or portsmouth no problem. Would rather use someone recommended from RIBnet!

Yep, Dean @ Bursledon Outboards. Really top bloke and sensible prices too.
Yamaha mechanic but able to turn his hands to anything. Rebuilt my 4.2L Ford Mermaid and did a very good job of it too. Also did a Yamaha gearbox for me. Tell him how you found him.

Thanks Pete, I have used them before a couple of years ago when I had an electrical problem. I think the guy's name was steve? He didn't fix it and took three weeks to do so. I wanted the boat back in the end, it turned out top be a faulty connection but he spent most of his time swapping CDi units and testing I think. He seemed like a good guy and I have had good reports about them. Is Dean the owner?

Dean works for himself so perhaps there are 2 lots with the same name. Certainly he is well away from the lot next to the bridge on the Hamble.

IT was the bridge by the hamble I went last time, behind the chinese. Is that number dean's mobile number? Where-abouts is he based?

Jizm thats steve at Burseldon outboards. Dean at Hedge end Outboards gets my vote to, hes a good guy and he just loves engines! he does all my engines that are out of warranty

Having said that it is hard to fault MB or Fairweathers at Fareham

Hedge end outboards? is that the place in botley square, set back from the road a bit?

Just South of J7 there is a road along the West side of the motorway. He is there along with lots of bus companies.
