This boat will happily plane with me in it at 19 stone with a Mariner 6hp four stroke powering it. Rob the distributor will tell you that maximum controllable safe size for this boat is 10hp and my Mercury 9.9 HP will easily plane with 4 of us in this boat, anything bigger will be a real handful. I have just used my 3.3 m Maxx Pro down in Dorset this weekend on my own the 6hp was ample and gives good performance, if you intend to carry more people then go for 10hp maximum.

Hi
Yes thats the one and Rob was very helpfull . The Maxx pro is certainly excellent value for money and very good quality , very pleased indeed.
I know the max rated out board is 15hp but i was just finding out because its all new to me so i am looking for a 9.9 or a 15 . I know there is a speed limit on water but i did not want to waste my money on a engine that has not got abit of poke.
How long did it take to inflate the rib?
