So which rock oil would be best as a replacement to the mercury dfi?? Mp3, pp2 or synthesis??
The mercury is synthetic blend, is that fully or semi synthetic?

Send a message via Skype™ to bogib
We sell MP3 to use on OPTI for summer usage, once into winter we change to Synthesis as it withstand freezing point, we also sell Synthesis for snowmobile usage.

I will only use the real oil. This is mainly because I dont know enough about oil to risk using the 'wrong' stuff for the sake of saving a few quid - which in boating costs is next to nothing.

After a bit of local looking I go to Gareth @ Marinautic at cobbs quay in Poole.

65 (ish) for 10l. I use about 15-20L over about 100hours each year in my 200.

New Oil

I have come accross a local supplier who manufacrures oil for lots of things, when I asked he does a 2 stroke oil.
I have the data sheet and have attached it for your comments.
I have removed the name of the business just in case!!

Do any of you think this oil is compatable, it is very reasonably priced?

Thanks

Lee

Only one way to find out

If it's not suitable then you can always sell the engine for parts

The spec sheet states TCW3, which DFI oil is not.
