Optimax 150's

A friend asked me yesterday what I thought of Optimax engines and the 150 in particular. I told him exactly what I tought but then I am biased towards them so I was wondering if the forum had any views on them as engines.

The questions were to do with reliability and longevity. I don't want to open up the two stroke v 4 stroke debate I just want to know if people reckon optis or not and why.

Great engine the 150, very happy with mine, but that means I'm biased doesn't it, anybody else??

I would love to stick one on the back of my boat but till the old Johnson kicks the bucket it is hard to justify the cost!
So far it is the favored for me!

Not had any major problems with any that we look after. They had a shakey start with dodgey fuel injectors but that has all been sorted and they seem very reliable.

I wish I had one
