Opti DFI Oil usage
Has anyone done any analysis of DFI usage against fuel.
What I mean is, does it average out at about 50:1, 100:1....a lot more/less?
Trying to work out a cost per litre of fuel for the stuff as the tank doesn't get refilled after every trip in our club.
I suspect it depends on the type of running but an average would be good to know....if it exists that is!

Mine use 35:1 at cruising speed (4000ish rpm) although when on the river up to Paris generally just under planing speed, this reduced dramatically.

I recal being slightly surprised by Martinis use in the past

It's all about load I guess. At 2.5 tonnes dry weight, mine are working pretty hard

Sure is when you look at them running with the cds plugged in the load does make a difference to oil use.

Opti Oil
With the typical mix of med-heavily loaded rib with 4 fatboy divers on a 15-20 mile fast cruise, 90 min idle whilst trawling/diving and fast return I seem to average 50:1 over the year

Sounds like 50:1 is a good ballpark figure to work to then
