Need a new Opti 150 or 200

My engine has broken

Just out of warranty with 320 hours on the clock - 3.5 years old.

My service agent tells me something has broken loose and has been bashing against the cylinder head for a couple of months and pins have sheared. Might involve a new engine.

I wondered where people sourced Optis at the best price - would buy it on credit card and have it shipped to my service agent in Lymington. Need it urgently. Fancy the 5 year warranty.....

Sorry to hear that Bruce, what makes you consider another opti when yours has self destructed after 3.5 years though?

Will keep you posted on the engineering report which is due to be done tomorrow.

I love the engine. Only problem was some slight 'hesitations' as I took her back up Lymington river at 6 knots on Sunday - so this is a total surprise.

Anyone else had this sort of problem??

BTW, who is 'Steve' in Southampton?

A rather good mobile Opti mechanic who sorted my Opti out. You saw her running for the first time at the Folly a couple of weeks ago on the red and white Tohatsu.
