Try a search for Seloc repair manuals, they seem to do one that covers our engines, could be mistaken of course.

RIBase
Seloc are awful though-I had one for my previous engine and the pictures were like bad photocopies. The text wasn't great either. The clymer I bought afterwards made everything 10x easier.

This is the one I found- need to check with the seller it's the rignt one before I get one though.

Sorry to but in - but did you test the float to see if it doesnt get stuck somewhere- had this with my earlier yams - circa 1994 vintage. You can test this ( if I am on the right track - I dont know the exact setup) - by manually moving the float up and down to see if the buzzer goes off.

Hello eupa, thanks for the suggestion, I'm pretty convinced that it's the heat sensor thing thats faulty, but I'm happy to try everything if only to learn more about the engine. I've had a snoop around and have to be honest I cant see where you try the float. The only things I can see (besides pipes) on the oil reservoir are the main filler cap and a smaller cap behind that one. If I take the smaller cap off theres a little rubber pin (for want of a better description) that can be removed, but this has no obvious effect.

Thanks for everyones help and suggestions, it was the heat sensor that was the problem, as was suggested, but I learnt a little more about my engine from digging around. She doesnt beep anymore and I'm a happy chappy, special thanks to Mr Manning who sent a sensor from his spares box, I really really appreciate your help David, thank you!!!!!!!
