mercury thermal air valve

simple question do i need to run it or not?

or can it simply be be removed and blocked off accordingly ????????

You need it!, engine runs pretty poor at low RPM without it!

another item to source then,
i constantly keep finding bits missing 14 head bolts short also now..
never buy an engine some one else has stripped b4 hand
