Mercury Sport Jet 175 Silencer / Noice

Hi

I bought a 2002 Nautica Jet 16 last year, fitted with a Mercury Sport Jet 175 v6 engine. Other than being a little thirsty and get clogged up a couple of times with weed in the water intake it has been faultless.

The one annoying feature is the noise at displacement speeds. Does anyone know if there are modifications that can be made to reduce the noise at displacement speeds (sub 7kts)
