Found this old thread re flushing mercury optimax with flush plug on back of outboard . When my boat is on a pontoon I always like to flush with fresh water after using does any one else find it a bit of a pain having to undo the plastic plug using a spanner and then screwing in an hose adapter while trying not to drop the plug in the sea!
