Merc Console Mount Control throw

I'm fitting a console mount control to my new boat but the manual says the lever travel is 108deg either side of vertical (well, perpendicular to the console surface) and shows it interfering with the console by 25mm. It then says allow 50mm extra for fingers. I'm assuming that once the engine is connected the throws will be reduced and I won't have to slam the handle through the console for full throttle but don't have the cables yet to check. Can anybody let me know the actual throw of the handle or take a photo of one in full throttle position? Its a Mercury single engine top mount control and will be attached to a recent 115hp motor.

Phil

2 options. Move the handle back a few splines for clearance or buy the spacer kit that goes between console and control box.

Hi

The standard top mount throttle can be set back at an angle of 8 degrees without buying any extras. That buys a bit and my f150 hits full throttle about 80 degrees beyond that. The last bit of the throttle movement is just moving a sprung section of the linkage and doing nothing.
Yes my knuckles can touch the console surface but it's passed the full throttle point by then

Thanks guys. I was expecting the throw to be less once connected but it's good to have it confirmed. Cables have arrived now so I can try and get it fitted this weekend.
