Mechanics

I've landed myself with an un-reliable one. Great!

I need a full service on my 40hp outboard by friday at the latest. I'm based in Southampton, close to Hamble.

Any reccomendations?

All help welcome, thanks!

Mark Bleecker at MB Marine at Ocean Quay is excellent and if boat local will do it on your marina. 02380 388 608. He was intending to stay close to Southampton but has some work with Round Britain Race so depends if the crew is OK. Give him a bell.

I mean the mechanic is un-reliable. He decided he didnt want to service my engine on Saturday. Nor did he want to let me know he wasn't going to arrive. Same happened the week before when he decided he wasn't going to inform me of his re-scheduling until 7:00pm after spending the whole day sitting indoors on my tod!

Mark is really busy right now, can't fit anything in until July - I have been trying to find someone to look at one of my engines as the local Yamaha dealer are currently without a mechanic!

If you contact drivers dry berthing at drivers wharf, and ask for Dean Manwaring, he should be able to help - reasonably priced too!

Try Steve Amato 07765 838040

He does a lot of work for JBT but also does mobile servicing. Like anyone else good though, he's probably going to be busy this time of year.

Good luck!

John
