Mariner Throttle Control problems.

I have two Mariner Optimax 90hp outboards with Mercury/Mariner side mounted controls, they are all 5 years old. Last year I was lucky to get some parts from my local Mariner dealer, who had some lying around. I replaced the parts that were broken and made the best out of the rest. It's all starting to go wrong again already.

At sometime during the week I shall dismantle them again to see if I can sort it out, I am doubtful. I have no idea why they are in such a state.

Does anyone have some old ones lying around they might want to part with? I have been trying to find new ones but can only find the units complete with electrics etc. The electric and cable side is fine, the mechanical side is the weak point. I think the casing is 881170, the letter and numbers relate to the electrics as far as I can tell. Can anyone confirm this?

Bad enough having one POETS engine. Now the controls are crumbling away.
