Mariner Breakers

I have a Mariner 60 2 cyl L/S here, it has blown a hole in the gearbox, looks like a problem with this model, its the engines 2nd gearbox and a pal has one with a dead reverse gear. Coincedence? maybe not?

Nah, not coincidence. I've seen loads of the twinpot 50/55/60hp's with trash gearboxes.

I havent actually started it, it belongs to a friend, I take it that its a real chugger with just the 2 pots
