Mariner 90hp on SR 5.4

Hi Lads

I just bought a 90hp Mariner 2 stroke for my SR 5.4, it came with a 19'' pitch aluminium prop and was wondering would this pitch be suitable for this engine on a SR 5.4? Anybody use the Laser 2 SS props?

Also, from what I read on here that the motor would have to be offset 1.5''-2'' to starboard?

Thanks
ScubaBoy

That engine needs to go 2" offset and 2-3 holes up. A 19" prop is too small. The 75 optis use 18" vengeance props I'd reckon you'd need a 20" as a guess or even a 22". Hope this helps

Hi. Pends on the prop make. On my SR both 17 and 19(Yamaha K series ali) are fine, but the 19 pitch black max was a tad steep.

Test the boat with the 19 and check RPM'S at full throttle. Offset thing, dont know, mine is fine and its centered.

You need a laser 2 20" pitch for that set up and yes 1.5" to 2" off set. Should get you up to 42knts plus.

Need to test a laser on mine SR, 42 would be nice. What engine height is optimal whit a laser 2 , guess it must be higher than cav plate even with keel?
