Mariner 90 four stroke

hello all !! on a mariner 90 f/s do i have to order a ring type engine lifting eye (that bolts directly on the flywheel) or can i use the two mild steel type lifting eyes that are allready on it,if they are not for lifting, what are they for? (they are and look identical to a car engine lifting eyes, but one off then doesnt look beefy enough to take the weight,its bolted on to a small bit of cast,also on the bit of cast metal is the timing point,!! any ideas ??

in the engine manual, its gives a part number 91-83164m which is a Flywheel puller/lifting eye, any ideas??
