i'll try putting the hose up aswell as blowing up the pipe.

It could be sand ingress as the bottom of the slip was sandy and the boat was driven onto the trailer. I was in the car with my foot on the brake pedal, so i couldnt see if any sand was being kicked up.

put the hose pipe up the tell tale end until water started coming out if the vents, then started and now pumps water as it did before, thanks for the advice, worked a treat and saves me dropping the leg and replacing the impeller.

My tell tale fires water out if the engine is running but only trickles if just the hose so perhaps yourt local water pressure may also be a factor.

Ian,

I dont think its the water pressure as i run the engines up in a deep bucket rather than muffs, i've always been paranoid about whether enough water is getting through via the muffs.

Luckily it looks as though it was just blocked and a combination of letting it dry out and hosing from the wrong end has cleared and now all sorted.

Thanks though

Ed
