Mariner 40 6e9 L 358385 - replace engine mounts

Hi

I've been informed that my outboard engine mounts (upper and lower) need replacing. I've looked into my options with one being to replace them myself (cheaper than getting my resident mechanic doing it and I've got the patience and time for it).

I am however having difficulty sourcing the parts I will need to do the job.

Please can someone point me to a suitable vendor (in UK if possible)?

thanks
Batfink

Ribs Marine in Christchurch, Dorset. Fast and cheap. Genuine parts, well recommended.

I had two of those engines on my last rib and replaced all the mounts. you will need a new powerhead and exhaust gasket too as the old ones will not come out cleanly.

Also get some good cobalt HSS drill bits and plenty of spare M8/10 bolts as you'll be almost certain to snap a few off trying to get the powerhead off!

A can of plug gas really helps loosen things up too! I have pictures somewhere of doing mine if you need any more help
