Mariner 30Hp 2 Stroke starting help.

Hi Everyone, New here and would really appreciate some help.

I have a Mariner 30hp 2 stroke I think it is the 1984-86 model. I am trying to find a wiring loom, 7 pin. Mainly just to start it via electric start. If not i guess i would bypass the loom and and go straight to the starter. Do the 7 pin to 10 pin convertors work on these engines?

Many thanks
Mike

Edit, i think it is the 689 engine. I do not have an identification on the outboard anymore.

You can bypass the controls by bypassing the control box, but make sure you connect a battery otherwise you could fry the rectifier or CDi unit. The Mariners are based and made by Yamaha 689 model from the eighties.
