Mariner 225HP Four stroke EFi

Does anyone have any info on these motors? Can't find much on the web and just wondered what they are like? I have a line on one but never even seen such a beast....

Based on the yamaha 225. Had some problems with them I think. Merc/mariner didn't use them for too long I believe

Hmmm, that's what I was thinking..

Yeah Yamaha engine, lots of fuel system problems, had to change lots of injectors. We didnt sell that many here in the Uk so not that many knocking around.

No power too. I had a guy with two 225 Opti's on a BW Conquest
We installed a pair of thes Yam-Mercs on the baot, but needed a 2" smaller prop to get the right rpm.
