mariner 20hp 4 stroke electrics

hi could anyone tell me what is required to add electrics to a manual start engine
i.e. for powering gps and fishfinder and possibly making it electric start

it has been discussed before so the search tool will bring up threads if you go looking - but obviously the specifics depend on the engines.

The cost of converting is usually very high - and you may be better off buying a 2nd hand one with the features you want and selling yours on. You might be lucky and find there is already a "lighting coil" on the engine and you can tap into this (it may need a regulator etc - but that is much cheaper).

Don't know that engine, but you may find someone has a siezed one somewhere & is stripping for pares.

charging kit

Hi, i think you need charging KIT 895299A03 ( may be superceeded number ) , This kit allows manual start models to provide a charge to a 12v battery for models 15/20 hp. I think your model number will take this kit. correct me if Im wrong guys.cheers

Yeap, 895299A03 is the charging kit, Retails at £153.18 price to you inc delivery is £137.86.
