Don, had a 150 hp v6 which ran at 45 LPH and about 45 mph. Surprisingly that was the same as a 4 stroke honda 130 at speed. Hope this helps

Pete

My 2.5ltr 200 is reported to do 10GPH flat out I would imagine the 135 should burn about 4-5GPH flat out depending on load in boat

I'm with "The Diggler" on this one.... my frugal four stroke (Yeah, like, right!) is using about 18+ Gallons an hour at flat out (ish) speed... Still, if you worry about these things, you've picked the wrong hobby...

Hello Don,

For a two stroke they way to work it out is.....

This gives you consumption at max RPM, you take the HP of the engine and divide by a third,
so 135hp is going to use approx 45 litres of fuel per hour at max RPM.
For a 4 stroke you take off about a third again so a 135 four stroke will use approximatly 30 litres an hour at max RPM. Hope this helps.

One more thing!!

45 litres per hour is i think about 9.9 Gallons per hour and 30 litres per hour is about 6.6 gallons per hour!!
