So, I'm actually probably going to drill out and re-tap. I was hoping for flow equal to 1/2" NPT. 14mm is ~1/2" but the approach to measurement is different. M14 is the outside diameter but when you say "1/2" NPT", you're actually talking about inside diameter (1/2" NPT on the outside is 0.840").

It's aluminum, it shouldn't be hard with a drill press and the right tap.
