A few years ago Bombardier decided that Evinrude would be just 2 stroke technology and that Johnson, their other brand, would be just four strokes.

All Johnson 4 strokes are re badged suzuki's, at least all the big ones. I'm not so sure about the really little ones, like under 10hp. But probably them too.

Certainly the Johnson 115 4 stroke is a Suzuki.. we use the Suzuki maintenance manual as you can't get a high street Johnson manual...

The 4, 5 and 6hp are all Suzis too - I have a 6hp Johnzuki.

I believe the Johnson brand will be going later this year, I think they are putting all their eggs in the Etec technology.

continuing search for a 14" prop.....

If the implication of this thread is taken to it's logical conclusion, can anyone confirm whether or not the prop shaft on the Johnzukis was carried across between the two brands?

Simply 'coz I'm still looking for a 14/ 15" prop that won't cost as much as I paid for the boat in the first place! (Slight exageration....) I'm thinking that if the search can be opened up to both Johnson & Suz used props, I might stand a better chance of finding something that fits, especially as the Suz prop carried over between the 2-stroke & 4- stroke versions of the 25/30.

Is it also therefore likely that an Ev prop from a 25/30 might fit too?

Both brands take the same prop. At least on the 140 model which I have. I asssume its the same throughout the same given they are exactly the same.
