Impeller change Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke

I have the workshop manual pages and the process seems simple enough - just a couple of queries:

1. Is any gasket/sealent required on re-seating the gear case?

2. Manual mentions 'anerobic gasket compound' on refitting the seating surface of the water tube seal -can anyone elaborate on this please?

3. Apart from the impeller are any other seals/parts needed on replacement?

Bueller, Bueller, Bueller???

Come on fellow Twatsoo owners - someone must have changed the impeller on a 9.8 on here?

Well, until you started this, I was blissfully unaware that I'd be requiring them. So more running around to be done. Still, I took the old girl out of storage for a looksee. I had winterised her back in November but she fired up and ran on the second pull

BTW, I've also checked the parts the Kieron at Ribshop sent me. I have a pair of gearbox screw gaskets (washers), an Impeller and a Pump gasket (upper) and a fuel filter. I suppose it makes sense to mate the other surfaces with compound or sealant, depending.

Ahh, got it. They must all be similar though, so someone on here must have changed an impeller at some point.

Took ours out of winter a week or two back and started lovely - still not been out on the sea yet this year due to the unbelievable weather and constant F4+. Resorted to sitting in the Zodiac with my 9 year old in the garage playing boats...
