Ilmor V10 in a rib...

Goldfish and Arctic Blue offer the Ilmor V10. The sound from that (viper) engine is like a F1.... Anyone find it on the internet, youtube etc?

I must here it!

Arctic Blue 29 with a 710hp Ilmor is 78 knots!

Goldfish 29 say around 80 knots.

Very true Fred - Vipers sound awful - you need a v8 or v12 for a nice sound!!!

v8 and v12s

And it has to be a cross plane crank V8 like lhe 350 GM etc, Flat plane cranks supposedly give better performance, but i rekon they sound awful!
some TVR and lotus engines sound like two ford pinto motors welded together or a wasp in a crisp bag.
on the other hand the cross plane crank V8s sound marvelous. hmmmm 427 cube music!
