Hydraulic steering

Hi All

Another question, I have just changed engines on my boat, the new engine has come with hydraulic steering, I have noticed although much much easier, it now takes a lot more turns lock to lock, can this be changed?
It's a sea star system, I don't have any info on it though.

Thanks

Adam

you can only do 2 things to make it less turns from lock to lock either reduce the diameter of the working piston or increase the amount of oil out of the helm unit neither of you can do easily without spending money

You may be able to move the link rod closer to the engine depending on how the system is connected up to the front steering arm some steering arms have more than one hole some pics of the front of the engine might help
I'm not keen on hydraulic systems for exactly that reason but once your over a certain hp you have no option
