Yeh, sorry about that, I wasn't thinking straight. If you really need to know the ratio, you could use a strobe and adjust the flash speed until the prop appears stationary, record its speed then do the same with the engine and then divide engine speed by the prop speed. The boat needs to be out of the water, of course. Probably academic I guess since you are sure it's a 1.5 - 1 drive.
