Humber 600 df 140 prop size

Hello,

I tried my new rib last monday, and the propeller is too short.

The prop is a 14X19.

Max speed 36knt with 6300 rpm.

If someone with the same boat can help a poor french ribman...

I think a 14X21, or perhaps a 14X23 could be a better choice.

Thanks

Antoine

It isn't supposed to reach the bottom though

Sorry I could not resist that obvious and extremely poor joke

Bonjour,

I changed from a 14x19 on my suzuki df 90 to a 14x21 and it reduced the revs by about 600. Combien coute le propulseur 14x21 en France (et le 14x22 inox)?

Keith

I tried yesterday a 14X21 prop.

It was better, but...

With five persons on board, 37,7 knt, but still 6200 (at least) rpm.

It's too much, and i will try a 14X23 next week.

Antoine

in theory to pass from 19 " to 23 ", the motor would have to come down of 800 turns the average e' 200 turns to inch

Hello,

I tried a 14X23 prop last WE and it seems to be better:

42 knts and 6100-6200 rpm.

Two persons on board, about 85 L...

A + Adonf,

I have doen some research on my Suzuki DF 140.

Below is the link.

http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...uzuki+140+prop

Basically I ended up with a custom 22" prop. Far better than the Suzuki job. Just waiting for a new one as I've bent my old one but thats another story.

Regards Nick.
