How Much For How Long ?

Can anyone give me an idea of approx. fuel consumption of Yamaha 115 V4 outboard at normal cruise speed on 6m RIB

Hmfhl.

Assuming 25 /30 knots on an Osprey XR20.
New to all this so trying to work out some kind of budget for running new toy.

Hard question really-probably around 25-30 litres/hour but a lot depends on your driving style and weather. Max should be around 50 litres/hour but that's at full throttle and you won't use that constantly.

Best bet is to fill it right up and go out for a day to work it out.

Ian I rekon you will use about 1.2 litres per nautical mile at 30 knots so roughtly what NOS said.

What Prop you are running will have an impact on this.

I recently installed one of the Northstar fuel computers and its really useful for guaging your fuel usage.
