Honda Workshop Manual?????

Does anyone know where i can get a copy of the Honda Workshop Manual for the BF40, 2005 model.

I'm ok with either the actual manual or the e version.

Just cant find it anywhere.

Not sure they have my manual on that list.

They have BF35a to 45a LRT, however i've got a BF40a LRTE. I know its the smaller version of the BF50a so i'm thinking the 35 to 45 may be the previous models, unless someone knows if it will cover mine ok.

I've workshop manuals on DVD along with part diagrams for all makes, I think my Honda ones only go up to 2003 though

Where did you discover the dvd's Peter?

Failing this i'll ring Lings in the morning and see what money they want for one, i would imagine a small fortune......

Honda supplied me with a paper copy via local dealer for £25 some years back. It was for BF50

I found a paperback version from America for $72.95 plus god knows how much in postage. Knew it would be steep going down that route.

Found some chap on ebay in spain who has english versions but again doesnt cover the 2005 model only going to 2003 like yourself peter.

I will call Lings in Am to get a price. Failing that the owners manual i have is much more in depth than my old Mercury manual was, but really would like the shop manual.

Lings have quoted, £175 plus delviery for the manual. ouch.
American store want $72.95 + $150 delviery. again ouch.

However after hours and hours of searching, i've found this for free, on the internet, with a search facility. Boatinfo - Honda Service Manual for BF35A, BF40A, BF45A and BF50A

Excellent. Maybe of use for others too as it lists various outboards.

Granted its a little slow, but when your saving a huge sum of money and its got a search bar, makes it a little easier.

I got my manual of the internet from Honda themselves. Here it is.

I've taken a punt on the one on ebay for a tenner from Spain. Luckily they say its in English so fingers crossed it is.
