I had the engine fitted new last year, the rev counter came with the factory setting (6p), the other avialable settings are; 5p, 4p8c, 3p6c, 2p4c.

The rev counter on setting 6p is incorrect, does anyone know what the correct setting should be?

A quick call to local Honda Marine dealer should be able to confirm pole setting. However if it was fitted new - then surely it was working properly when it was rigged?

Whip the flywheel off and count the magnets, 2 magnets = 4 poles etc Looked up Seloc but it doesn't give that level of detail.

yes you would have thought so, clearly not, they also fitted one gauge upside down! never cleaned the swarf from fitting the gauges, clearly not happy with dealer! I even went out of my way to speak to warrior boats and confirm pitch of required prop etc, the dealer told me to teach him to suck eggs!!! I did mention the settig og the rev counter and they did not ammend factory setting
