Cant actually remember, but just take the hose of the carb and see when the fuel comes out when you open or close the tap.

6 is on but the little filter can often block up if its been sat for a while so remove the switch and clean it all out

The engine was running took it of to put on my boat disconnected the kill switch. When I put in on my tender it will not go. Vent open fuel line open as it was at six kill switch connected but no spark. Took plug lead off and reconnected with snap on. Still nothing. Exasperated!

Sounds like you need to look elsewhere first then no good having the fuel without the spark
