Maybe so and I don't want to sound negative but rivers have currents and I suspect 4hp will be limited going up stream. And iirc, part of the river at Chester is tidal too.

How did you get on with using Chester River? Wanted to go up and down there myself but the reg fee doesn't seem to be worth it?

Don't pay registration.... just £20 for a day license IF you see the warden (or he see's you)

But you need proof of insurance

Were did you buy the day ticket from?
I e-mail Cheshire council and was told it needed to be registered first but now that's two of you who have told me otherwise.
It seems a good little ride out when the weather is forecast bad for use on the sea.

The little ice cream shop by hickorys smokehouse, they pull a face and make you wait while they carry on selling ice cream, we have complained to the warden, he wasn't happy!

Sorry for all my questions.
But you went down there first and got the ticket from people selling ice cream? Then went to sandy lane car park to launch yours?

I'd go tomorrow and give it a go but my boat isn't at home but down near Harlech

That's how they would win me over. I'm a sucker for ice cream.
Can see it being a right pain when it's busy though getting a ticket.

I do like going down conwy way with the new watersports centre but no good if wind is forecast.

If you want a bigger engine sometime I have a good contact with a bloke who buys p/x engines in. Good chap just had another from him few weeks back.

Aslong you keep it in good condition they always seem to hold there money very well.

I need a new back now with this 4 stroke 10hp it's a heavy weight Vs my older 2stroke ones. Well saying that the 25hp 2t Johnson was the worst. It really was suited to a trailer setup.

Unfortunately for is a trailer is not an option, we live in a cul de sac, with no off road parking!

I like not having a trailer now. Just a smaller lighter package than my last one.

Transom wheels are a must though. If you don't have any mes ones are great pretty dam strong and solid tyres.

Didn't know he sold the bp12 pumps down there?

I just have a cheap Coleman one and finish it off with foot pump but could do with a decent electric one which does high pressure.

He has em at £85. Takes around 5 min to blow up our Europa A300,

But the deflation function is absolutely useless...
