Gearbox
hi
i need to remove my gearbox on 2000 Mariner 15hp.
to change my impellor. i cant get the gear box off it only drops about 2 inches
ive tried in gear and out of gear but wont come off.
please help.

Welcome to Ribnet
I suspect you haven't disconnected the gearchange.
Not being flippant, but buy a manual. If you can't work out how to drop a gearbox on your own, you'll find a manual essential.

thanks Nos, your not being flipant, but the feller i brought the engine off, keeps saying he will drop it in. so if i buy one, ill have to, so i just thought i would try this site, ive droped many a gear box, my other boat has twin alpha 1 boxes, but there is a trick to dropping the mariner. thanks again Nos.

i looked on black dog but cant seam to work the site,
