what, you can't find a bit of tubing to push over the existing?

FWIW, the latest pumps from Merc come bubble packed with the pick up detached. if it ain't long enough for your bottle, replace it with a longer one or do as I suggested above. It ain't rocket science.

No-on mine the existing pickup isn't round-it has ridges-and won't seal well enough. It looks too flimsy to force a hose over it without risking damage.

Heat shrink tubing, you know it makes sense! 2nd greatest invention after gaffer tape.

I use one of these. Screw off the end to fill it with oil. Just whap the oil into the gear case with one push. You'll need a wee adaptor of course - find a suitable bolt and drill a hole through it if you're stuck.

Came in the post today, have to say it's allot of money for what it is, even if they charged a tenner for it.
But I'm known for making copper wire out of a penny!
