Fuel Tank Installation - Questions about the actual tank

Hi there,

I have a replacement stainless steel tank to install into my RIB...

I've attached a few pictures, as I have a few queries about the actual tank itself.

The first image - The 'hole' for the fuel outflow is fully welded up. Short of redrilling the hole, how would one attach the fuel line to this? There isn't a great deal of protruding space to attach a clip to hold a pipe on.

In the second image, along with the fuel gauge sender, there is a small bent pipe. What is the purpose of this? There is obviously already a breather (and filler) connection, so I'm unsure about this bent pipe.

Any ideas?!

Thanks
Rob

I've had a cup of tea and realised I'm being dumb.

The first hole is sealed because it's not used, because the second hole is the fuel outlet...

It's just a different setup to existing tank where outlet is down the bottom....

Yup?

Bent pipe is your outlet.

The sealed one will be a drain bung for draining poo out of the tank and the bent pipe will be a fuel pickup which goes nearly to the bottom of the tank. Quite common for the pickup to come out through the top on any sort of machine.
