I just look at the fuel gauge when it gets down to 1/4 full, I fill it up.

My fuel gauges rotted away some time ago...... There aint one that works well after 4 months... in my humble opinion.... invarably the float sticks ...Ah yes you dont have a rib............

Actually it's aeroplane or aircraft - bloody Yank terms!!!

Never had one of those little aero diesels you are on about but yes - did start out with RC engines - some of them pretty amazing - 6bhp from 15cc or .90 as the Yanks call em!!!

No I am not bragging again - anyone who sees my factory unit will realise what I mean - am pretty well equipped in the machinery dept these days - Colchester Triumph 2000 lathe - Elliott universal miller with CNC - Emco baby lathe - shaper - slotter - various surface grinders etc etc. Strictly as a hobby though - I can do a great job but prob take about 3 times longer than anyone else.

Nice big lumps of old machinery are great - the bigger they are the cheaper they seem to be as nobody wants them.

At the moment I don't have anything set up - waiting for 3 phase electric to be put in - but as soon as I do will be able to make up a transom jack for my 15hp Suzuki to fit on my real RIB. Will rig it onto the 225 so I can steer with the main engine and potter around with the small one.
