Four Stroke 60hp Yamaha

Evening all,

I've just got my hands on a Ribtec 585 with twin 60hp Yamaha Four strokes Unfortunately I'm currently going through the insurance hoops.

Now as a previous hardcore Mercury owner I'm struggling to find the serial numbers on the engines. Has anybody got an idea where I can find them?

I did only have a quick look for the serial numbers so I may have missed them in a very obvious place!

Also I'd love to hear any feedback on these engines.

Chris

Yamaha serial numbers are normally on the clamp bracket.

My F115 has it on the bracket, port side of the engine.

If it's a later (2006, I think, and up) it won't have a year on it, as they moved away from that to give dealers a better chance at selling old stock.

You can get the manuals here.

Luck;
