If BRP are investing money on re inventing the wheel, they need to look at existing outboards possibly.
Havent the jap engines been pushing out 3 star rated emissions for some time now?
Im sure The suzuki four stroke 250 met that regulation back in 08

Aesthetically that's a shocking look. It may be the latest tech underneath...But on that basis Lisa reilly is as good as Kelly Brook......no no no no....

Unless it's on a super modern boat i think it'll look weird. Still at least it may be getting as efficient as modern four stroke now.......

If it shifts as fast as a wheelie bin on Merseyside it will be world-beating.

I suspect that (i) their core market is for "fast looking modern boats" and (ii) their aim is to be distinctive and get talked about (which seems to be working) and noticeable/memorable. Most other outboards are rather indistinctive. (iii) a very modern look is to help position the engine as cutting edge against the inevitable 4-stroke manufacturer spin that 2-stroke is "old tech".

Don't really like it. A bit too off the wall. It would have worked better if they put the writing on the right way up.

The new catalogue....

5 years or 500 hours between servicing, 5 year corrosion and operational wty... Looks like they have really pushed the boundaries...
