Evinrude E-TEC XD 100 2-Cycle Oil

Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy this oil other than from a dealer? Preferably on the internet and cheapest if possible. Thanks.

The odd time there would be an earlier version of the Ficht Ram oil for sale in say 50 gal container, you will get larger quantities of the XD from US boat shops, again you ship it , it would be un ecomoical

Xd100

After some research I kept my Evinrude ETEC 90HP's engine management on the XD50 setting rather than switch it to XD100 which would have meant I was "tied" to this very expensive oil option. Mind you XD50 is not cheap. I got mine and my Ballistic from JBT Marine!

you can run on , tcw3 if you want , just have your computer re set to take it .

it will however use far more tcw3 than xd100 . once over the 10 hour mark ish it will reduse in oil consumption

how much xd100 do you find the motor uses . presuming its done a few hours and is run in ?
I had mine re set to xd 100 and it seems to be very frugal on oil so far but i haven't done many hours over the winter. If it uses half the oil on xd100 then the cost isn't too bad unless you are using it lots .
If the dealers advice was correct then the xd100 makes sence , althougbh a chaeper source would be great , but evenrude seem to have the market sewn up .
It must be made by one of the top oil producers , but having said that even trade prices on top 2 stroke oils for bikes isn't much different .

I don't own a e-tec (evin 90hp vro)but would like one.... but did some readings about it and surfed the web and all they say is use that oil otherwise the repairs aren't cheap.

On the other hand.... :-) I am looking for a nice e-tec 90 with damage to rebuild.......
Or a 135 hp ram figt after 2002 build

RIBase
I wonder if there's any relationship between the XD100 and this stuff.

I'm not advocating using it!!!

Evinrude XD100 Oil

The best place for Evinrude is www.ribstuff.com.

Incredible at £31.00 + Carriage.

I got 4 cans yesterday and it only took 48 hours.

Regards,

Macrib.

Im running a 2004 Evinrude E-TEC 75, which is new to me and currently has XD30 oil. Looking through the manual and on posts here XD100 seems to be the better option?

I have also read about settings need to be changed to accept the oil...?

Someone kindly tell me the difference between the two as unfortuanltey i have little history on the engine....
