The bloke is an idiot. The whole concept sounded like a wind-up. He may have gotton away with 115, anymore and it would've been another chine walking, bow bouncing animal. My neighbour has an Avon 5.4 Seasport rated to 90hp. He's fitted a 115Yam. It can't be used over 3/4 throttle or else it gets into a death weave. What use is that?

Lads used to over power 14ft speedboats years ago and envariably ruin a decent rig.

I put a DT85 Soozook on a Fletcher 140 - twas a rite larf , but not as mental as the stripped bare Fletcher 129 I fitted a DT50 on.
